West Side Story
Tovi made his debut at the Guthrie Theater in West Side Story in the role of Baby John in the summer of 2018. Directed by Joseph Haj, choreography by Maija Garcia, and set design by Christopher Acebo, the production exuded style, fresh urgency, and a new take on the traditional american musical. Each night the Guthire's 1,100 seats were sold out to crowds of all ages.
With fierce direction from Marcos Santana and electric choreography by Emmy nominee Al Blackstone, Tovi played the role of Race in the Maltz Theatre production of Newsies. Broadway World stated that the production overflowed with passion and determination. This was Tovi's first contract after his graduation from the Joffrey Ballet School in 2017.
Tovi was featured in a music video for the band, Too Many Zooz, for it's hit single Warriors. The song features a funky drummer, a fierce trumpeter, and a dancing saxophonist. Directed by Jeff Pross and choreographed by Angelo Soriano from Broadway's Aladdin.
